TRIBAL RELIGION AND CHURCH PLANTING MINISTRIES
In February, 1996, the cornerstone was laid for a church in Paderu (above, left), a town on the edge of the Tribal Region of the Eastern Ghats Mountains. There was a lot of opposition to the presence of a church in the town, but the brothers who were overseers continued faithfully ministering to the lost and nurturing new believers. In 1998 the church was finally completed. A dedication service was held in January 1999, and a new Discipleship Training Center was inaugurated on February 4, 1999 (above, right).
Love-N-Care Ministries began because of a burden to reach the 4.5 million people who live in the Eastern Ghats Mountains with the hope and good news of Jesus Christ. Now, because of annual village to village evangelization by teams from the Discipleship Training Centers, as well as opportunities to expand outreach in many areas within the state of Andhra Pradesh, over 250 churches have been planted.
In one area of the tribal region, when the brothers first came there, they discovered that the people still practiced human sacrifice. They were even planning to take one of the brothers for that purpose, but because God used the brothers to heal the tribal chief's dying daughter, the door was opened for the gospel, many were saved, a church was started and human sacrifice has been stopped.
These new churches desparately need men who are trained in Bible to go into those areas as pastors to care for the new believers, teach them the Word of God and reach out to others. Many of the graduates of the DTC have volunteered, even at the risk of their lives, to fulfill that great need. Some have been stoned. Others have bebeaten and hospitalized - yet they still return with the love of Jesus Christ.
New opportunities are now opening up to expand outreach and the ministry of helping and encouraging Christian pastors and evangelists in several of the northern states in India.
God has enabled the ministry to help start over 250 new churches in many places throughout Andhra Pradesh. We also help support several hundred pastors.
One exampleis the church in a village where the people were engaged in fish farming. It is a difficult area. There is a spirit of death over the region. In this village alone, there are currently 150 widows - young widows! because their husbands have been killed. The police don't even come near this area because they are afraid. If that were not enough, suddenly all the fish began dying of some strange disease, driving the villagers out of the fish farming business.
This fishing village was badly hurt by the tsunami of December 2004. Most of the boats were destroyed, and all of the nets were lost. Love-N-Care Ministries was able to help them purchase new boats and nets, and now they are again able to make a living. They are also seeing the evidence of God's love.

SPREADING GOD'S WORD THROUGH PUBLISHING
Bethany Printing Press publishes a monthly magazine, called, "Parama Jeevam" (Eternal Life), which is distributed widely. The magazine publishes articles in both Telugu and English to reach the lost and to encourage Christians in their walk with the Lord. The ministry also publishes Christian song books, tracts, and notebooks and other printed materials for the for the schools. Now that it has a new color press, they are able to produce some very fine work in the four-color process.
One of the goals established for Love-N-Care Ministries when it first began was to create some income producing ministries that would be able to help meet some of the day to day operational needs. Toward that end, the first such enterprise was the Printing Press. By God's grace, someone in America was moved to contribute capital sufficient to purchase the four color press, and its equipment, thus enabling the ministry to engage in job printing as a source of income for the ministry.
- Has now produced several beautiful worship CD's with songs that exalt the Lord God and Jesus Christ, and serve to encourage believers in their faith, as well as speaking of God's love to the hearts of those who are not yet believers.
